Tour itinerary
Day 1
It's time for our Search of Santa and we will depart from our chosen airport directly to Rovaniemi. Where possible aircraft with onboard video entertainment will be provided and subject to crew co-operation there will be a traditional Christmas sing-along on board. Following our arrival in Lapland we and our guides have to find the Arctic Express which is know in Lapland as Santa's very own train. Unlike all others in Lapland this is powered by steam. Santa being such a traditionalist, likes to retain connections with exciting experiences of the past. Thus when we find the train we can be sure of a unique experience. We know the conductor is a special friend of Santa himself and can regale the group with stories of past Christmas's within the Arctic.
As we slip through the Arctic Wilderness we wonder what experiences might unfold before our very eyes. For sure this is a very special train, full of surprises. Lets wait and see how our imagination might become reality. We know that we are headed somewhere to destinations we know not where, even if our ticket does not provide that clue. But to a destination we surely go . . . Upon arrival is Santa waiting? No, this is only the end of the line and our experience continues. Further, further into the Arctic darkness we will drive along roads where the only traffic we may encounter could be Santa's very own reindeer before arriving in Luosto , a small village known to be one of Santa's favourite locations. Here we will secure sustenance, warm overclothing and boots on loan and beds in cabins or a small hotel.
Day 2
Following a substantial breakfast we are about to embark to find Santa Claus. Based on what our conductor told us yesterday. The clues were there. During our activity period we will enjoy reindeer rides and husky rides and participate in snowmobiling with snowmobiles for both children and adults alike. Have no fear, we will find Santa. The conductor assured us of this fact and we do know that Santa never disappoints children who have travelled so far to see him.
The entire experience has been like a dream and indeed in many ways it was. Before we know it we are enjoying a last meal in Luosto before returning to Rovaniemi for a return flight to the United Kingdom during which dinner will be served.
